Adherencia terapéutica con la terapia triple combinada (Triplixam) en pacientes con hipertensión arterial sistémica que acuden a la Unidad de Medicina Familiar No. 8 de la Delegación Aguascalientes

Abstract

RESUMEN Título. ADHERENCIA TERAPÉUTICA CON LA TERAPIA TRIPLE COMBINADA (TRIPLIXAM) EN PACIENTES CON HIPERTENSIÓN ARTERIAL SISTÉMICA QUE ACUDEN A LA UNIDAD DE MEDICINA FAMILIAR NO.8 DE LA DELEGACIÓN AGUASCALIENTES Antecedentes: Las guías de prácticas clínicas actuales recomiendan combinaciones fijas en una sola píldora para tratar la hipertensión arterial, lo que mejora el control de la presión arterial y aumenta la adherencia al tratamiento. Conocer el grado de adherencia terapéutica es importante para que los médicos puedan tomar decisiones informadas sobre las intervenciones más adecuadas para cada paciente. Objetivo: Determinar la adherencia terapéutica en pacientes con hipertensión arterial sistémica tratados con TRIPLIXAM. Material y Métodos: Estudio de tipo observacional y comparativo, transversal y retrospectivo. En la fase 1, se incluyeron 100 expedientes de pacientes con Hipertensión en tratamiento con TRIPLIXAM. En la fase 2 del estudio, se aplicó el cuestionario de Morisky-Green para determinar la adherencia terapéutica. Resultados: El 86% de los participantes logró un adecuado control hipertensivo con este fármaco. La adherencia terapéutica fue alta en el 34% de los participantes, el 20% media y el 46% baja. Los pacientes con adherencia alta tuvieron una mayor diferencia en la presión arterial inicial y final. Conclusiones: Aunque TRIPLIXAM es efectivo para el adecuado control de la presión arterial, la adherencia terapéutica sigue siendo un desafío. El control de la hipertensión depende más del comportamiento y creencias del paciente que del tipo de tratamiento farmacológico. 1 ABSTRACT Title: THERAPEUTIC ADHERENCE WITH TRIPLE COMBINATION THERAPY (TRIPLIXAM) IN PATIENTS WITH SYSTEMIC ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION ATTENDING THE FAMILY MEDICINE UNIT NO. 8 OF THE AGUASCALIENTES DELEGATION Background: Current clinical practice guidelines recommend fixed combinations in a single pill to treat arterial hypertension, which improves blood pressure control and increases treatment adherence. Knowing the degree of therapeutic adherence is important for physicians to make informed decisions about the most appropriate interventions for each patient. Objective: To determine therapeutic adherence in patients with systemic arterial hypertension treated with TRIPLIXAM. Material and Methods: Observational and comparative, cross-sectional and retrospective study. In phase 1, 100 records of patients with hypertension treated with TRIPLIXAM were included. In phase 2 of the study, the Morisky-Green questionnaire was applied to determine therapeutic adherence. Results: 86% of participants achieved adequate hypertensive control with this medication. Therapeutic adherence was high in 34% of participants, medium in 20%, and low in 46%. Patients with high adherence had a greater difference in initial and final blood pressure. Conclusions: Although TRIPLIXAM is effective for adequate blood pressure control, therapeutic adherence remains a challenge. Control of hypertension depends more on patient behavior and beliefs than on the type of pharmacological treatment.
