La cultura de trabajo docente en escuelas secundrias de Aguascalientes

Abstract

El estudio sobre la cultura de trabajo docente en escuelas secundarias es un desafío, en tanto tiene que dar cuenta de una serie de elementos que configuran la cultura. Así, la investigación que se presenta muestra una alternativa teórica que logra reunir en un modelo diversos elementos que dan cuenta de la cultura, entendida como la significación social de la realidad y su relación con las prácticas que tienen los actores. El modelo teórico plantea cuatro ejes de análisis: estructura de significado, habitus, prácticas de significado y estrategias de significación, a partir de las cuales es posible entender cómo los sujetos significan el orden social en que se encuentran, en nuestro caso la escuela secundaria, y a partir de la mediación que se da gracias al habitus los actores realizan ciertas prácticas y estrategias, con lo cual contribuyen a la reproducción o cambio de la estructura. La tesis recupera de la investigación en el campo de la escuela secundaria, sus docentes, su cultura, su organización y funcionamiento los planteamientos que hacen operativo el modelo teórico, logrando aportar información relevante en cuanto a las condiciones estructurales de trabajo, cómo significan y lo que les significan éstas a los profesores, las ideas que tienen sobre ser y hacer su trabajo, es decir, su habitus y la clara relación que hay entre éste y las prácticas y estrategias que realizan los profesores a fin de lograr que sus alumnos logren aprender y este aprendizaje sea significativo. No obstante, también la tesis pone de manifiesto que algunas de las prácticas que realizan contribuyen a reproducir bajos niveles de aprendizaje, así como las condiciones estructurales en que realizan su trabajo, lejos de lograr su transformación y mejora que es su intención.

The study on the culture of teaching work in secondary schools is a challenge, as you have to account for a number of elements that make up the culture. Thus, the research presented shows a theoretical alternative that comes together in a different model elements that reflect culture, understood as social reality and significance of their relationship with the practices of the actors. The theoretical model proposes four areas of analysis: meaning structure, habitus, practices and strategies of meaning, from which it is possible to understand how subjects mean social order in which they are, in our case the high school, and from the mediation that is thanks to habitus actors perform certain practices and strategies, which contribute to the reproduction or change of the structure. The thesis retrieved from the research in the field of high school, their teachers, their culture, their organization and operation approaches that operationalize the theoretical model, achieving provide relevant information as to the structural conditions of work, how mean and what they mean these teachers, the ideas they have about being and doing their job, ie, their habitus and the clear relationship between this and the practices and strategies that the professors to get their students to achieve learning and this learning meaningful. However, the thesis also shows that some of the practices they engage in play contribute to low levels of learning as well as the structural conditions in which they do their work, far from achieving its transformation and improvement that is his intention.
