ABSTRACT
Purpose. Comparison of the CO-RADS and COVID-RADS data and reporting systems evaluating their reliability (sensitivity and specificity).
Material and methods. Retrospective observational study, in which records with suspected COVID-19 were evaluated, using a simple chest tomography study and the PACS system of the CHMH hospital, eliminating the interobserver variable, categorizing in both RADS systems by a single observer.
Results. The 2 x 2 contingency table was used to assess the sensitivity and specificity of both classifications, obtaining for CO-RADS a sensitivity of 97%, specificity 34%, positive predictive value 87% and negative predictive value 73%. COVID-RADS with sensitivity 98%, specificity 28%, positive predictive value 86% and negative predictive value 75%.
Conclusions. Both systems presented similar reliability, the CO-RADS system being scarcely more specific.
