| es_MX |
dc.description.abstract | The present work aims to generate an urban-spatial model that applies strategies for the collection and use of rainwater in the City of Aguascalientes under a scheme of Water Sensitive Urban Development. A geospatial analysis by microbasins was applied to identify the best catchment areas and the best sustainable infrastructure alternatives, both urban and peri-urban, that allow generating urban planning strategies that contribute to the reduction in groundwater consumption through the use of storm runoff in the area. Three scenarios and strategies were proposed to establish the bases for the city of Aguascalientes to be defined as a 'water sensitive city': 1) adverse, whose main feature is to maintain the current dependence on groundwater for drinking water supply in the city, without the implementation of alternative sources of supply; 2) optimistic, in which the construction of green infrastructure is considered within the urban structure and the periurban area of the city of Aguascalientes with the aim of maximizing the collection and supply capacity in the long term; and, 3) ideal, considering the application of green infrastructure and the modification of water consumption patterns. This last scenario is the most attached to the principles of water sensitivity because it contemplates in its implementation both structural and non-structural measures in its design, despite presenting the biggest limitations of implementation. As a result, the zoning maps for infrastructure development were obtained, considering different stages of development. The main contribution of this work is the proposal of a rainwater collection system from an urban planning approach that considers both physical and social aspects and environmental aspects through the application of a Water Sensitive Urban Development model. | es_MX |
