El trabajo en el laboratorio de química en bachilleratos tecnológicos

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivos describir y clasificar el tipo de actividades que se desarrollan en el laboratorio de Química de dos Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Industrial y de Servicios (CBTis) que pertenecen al subsistema Dirección General de Educación Tecnológica Industrial (DGETI) en Aguascalientes, así como caracterizar a los laboratorios de Química en cuanto a los recursos humanos, materiales e infraestructura física y tecnológica. La metodología que se utilizó para desarrollar este trabajo fue un estudio exploratorio con un enfoque cualitativo y tipificado metodológicamente como un estudio de caso. Entre los hallazgos, se obtuvo que el tipo de prácticas que realizan en su mayoría ambos casos del estudio de acuerdo con la adaptación de Carmo (2014), pueden clasificarse dentro de un modelo de actividades denominado observación y medición, también conocidas como tipo receta de cocina. Se reconoce que las actividades prácticas que se llevan a cabo en el laboratorio tienen una necesidad grande de modificarse para poder ofrecer experiencias significativas sobre el quehacer científico a los estudiantes, así como una propuesta llamativa para perfilarlos a las vocaciones científicas. Los contextos escolares sin duda pueden ser espacios para reconstruir las prácticas que se vienen realizando desde la incorporación de los laboratorios a los planteles. No obstante, la comprensión de la enseñanza y aprendizaje de las ciencias actual, basada en la actividad práctica que se lleva a cabo en el laboratorio, exige un esfuerzo importante para entender el fenómeno y la experiencia vivencial que tienen lugar en este espacio. The purpose of this research is to describe and classify the type of activities carried out in the Chemistry Laboratory of two Industrial and Baccalaureate Technology Center (CBTis) that belong to the General Directorate of Industrial Technological Education (DGETI) in Aguascalientes, as well as characterize chemistry laboratories in terms of human resources, materials and physical and technological infrastructure. The methodology used to develop this work was an exploratory study with a qualitative approach and methodologically typified as a case study. Among the findings, it was obtained that the type of practices that mostly carry out both cases of the study according to the adaptation of Carmo (2014), can be classified within a model of activities called observation and measurement, also known as cooking recipe. It is recognized that the practical activities carried out in the laboratory have a great need to change in order to offer meaningful experiences on the scientific work to the students, as well as a striking proposal to profile them to the scientific vocations. School contexts can undoubtedly be spaces to reconstruct the practices that have been carried out since the incorporation of laboratories to schools. However, the understanding of the teaching and learning of science today, based on the practical activity carried out in the laboratory, requires an important effort to understand the phenomenon and the experiential experience that take place in this space.
